Accra Hearts of Oak's player, , says he will hit top form when the Glo Premier league starts in October.

The Hearts talisman, who has played in all the national teams, scored a magnificent goal from a curling free-kick yesterday to win the day for the Phobians as they beat rivals, Asante Kotoko by a lone goal in the top four tournament.  

Speaking on Oman FM's Sports Programme yesterday, the player who now describes himself as 'I am who that I am' said he was now going to showcase a world class performance that will ensure success for his club, saying, “All Phobians and Ghanaians should pray for me.”

Asked whether he was old and therefore could not deliver, he cited Emmanuel Osei Kufuor as one of the old players who continued to showcase impressive form despite his age, stressing, “I will use Osei Kufuor as my role model and that will improve my fortunes.”

The former player of GHAPOHA was hopeful that the phobians will retain their trophy.

He praised his former coach, Isaac Paha for training him to become a free kick expert.

Dong Bortey captained Hearts to record their first win in this year's top four tournament on Sunday.
