Four Ghana players have arrived in the country for Sunday's World Cup qualifier against Sudan, with many more expected on Monday night.

The leadership of the team showed the way for their colleague as captain Stephen Appiah and his deputy John Mensah were the first to arrive.

Appiah came straight from his training base in Italy while John Mensah arrived from England after completing his switch to Sunderland.

They were joined later in the day by France-based Asamoah Gyan and goalkeeper George Owu.

The vast majority of the squad will join camp on Monday night from their various bases in Europe, including John Pantsil, Matthew Amoah, Eric Addo, Haminu Dramani, Samuel lnkoom, Opoku Agyemang and many more.

Three players Micahel Essien, Anthony Annan and Ricahrd Kingson will join camp in Tuesday night.

Pricne Tagoe will be the last player to join as he takes an independent medical test demanded by the German Football League before they rule on his stand-off with Hoffenheim.

The German club had wanted Tagoe to be excluded from the Sudan clash but the Ghana football authorities flatly turned them down.

Ghana lead Group Four of the World Cup qualifiers with maximum nine points.

The Black Stars will qualify for the World Cup if they beat Sudan and Mali hold Benin in Coutonou.
