Stars abroad make impact

Ghana internationals picked the required forms this weekend abroad with four players find the back of the net. 

 
In England:
Michael Essien was in devastating form for Chelsea who eased pass new-boys Burnley 3-0 at the Stamford Bridge.

Essien's through pass found Didier Drogba, leading to the Blues opening goal.

 
John Pantsil headed in an Ashley Young's wicked corner into his own net in their dicy duel at the Villa Park.

Pantsil lasted the entire duration after that grievous mistake as Roy Hodgson's boys lost by two-nil.

 
Liverpool needed a winner from captain Steven Gerrard to edge Bolton Wanderers 2-3 at the Reebok Park. 

Mustapha Riga came on on the 90th minute for the Trotters.

 
QPR bagged all three points from newly promoted Scunthorpe in the Coca-Cola Championship.

In the League Two, Albert Adomah helped Barnet to defeat Notts County by a lone goal.

In Holland:
Striker Mathew Amoah returned with a bang for NAC Breda as they smoothly edged visiting SC Heerenveen at the FujiFilm Stadium.

Amoah doubled Breda's lead on the 58th minute.
 
Francis Dickoh manned Utrecht's defence against Emmanuel Boakye's Spart Rotterdam.

Dickoh did full time action for Utrecht but compatriot Nana Akwasi Asare was comspiciously missing from the squad.

Emmanuel Boakye also played 90 minutes.
 
Eric Addo was in the Roda JC backline that slipped 3-4 to Vitesse Arnhem.

Ajax Amsterdam thumped Heracles 3-0. Kwame Quansah failed to get his team organised to match up the challenge and was red-carded in the  match.

 
In Germany:
Nurnberg are still in search for their first win of the season as they split points with Stuttgart.

Isaac Boakye was not selected for the trip which ended a scoreless stalemate.

 
Isaac Vorsah was a 55th munite substitute for 1899 TSG Hoffenheim which stole all three points from Hannover 96.

Striker Prince Tagoe is yet to kick a ball for the Hoffs.

There was no action for Mohammed Rabiu Alhassan when Sampdoria met Udinese in the second round of matches in the Serie A.
