BOX OFFICE Sports Limited, a boxing promotion syndicate, last week presented a certificate to the National Sports Council (NSC) in Accra.

The certificate was presented to the NSC in appreciation of its immense support during the “Fierce Storm” night, which took place a few weeks ago at the Globe Cinema.

On the bill were crack pugilists such as Obodai Sai and Aryee Ayittey, who fought for the National Super Welterweight title, which was won by the former, via a unanimous points decision.

Presenting the certificate, CEO of Box Office, Alex Ntiamoah Boakye, thanked the NSC, adding that the boxing fraternity really values the role being played by the Council.

He urged officials of the establishment to continue their good work in order to uplift the image of boxing in the country.

“The Council has always responded not only to our calls, but that of many others in all seasons. We hope that your outfit would be well resourced to carry out its mandate.”

Receiving the certificate, the Chief Executive of the NSC, Worlanyo Agrah, said the doors of the Council were open to all sports organizations, asking the officials of Box Office to aspire to be among the best in the world.

He admonished them against running to media houses whenever they encounter challenges, instead of finding solutions to the problems.

Also at the presentation ceremony which took place at the NSC offices in Accra were Charles Aryeh, Chief Operating Officer of the NSC; Francis Korley Botchway, Box Office Manager; Solomon Lartey, Match-maker; and Abraham Tetteh, Coordinator.
