has stated that he is hopeful about signing for a new Club this summer, after several near misses earlier this year.
“When you don't have a job, you have to look for one and right now, I am looking for one,” said Appiah.
“But now, there are a couple of teams and I would like to see what happens,” he added.
In January, a proposed move to AC Milan collapsed. The player also confirmed on Ghana National Television that a conflicting medical report blocked his chance of teaming up with the Russian Club, Rubin Kazan.
The midfielder disclosed that Rubin Kazan asked him to do a test in Munich, but the outcome revealed a 40 percent loss of muscle.
“Of course, I had played for Ghana against Egypt, so I had lost some muscle. But further test in Italy wasn't more than 10%. So that was shocking. I was asking myself, what was happening?”
Soon after that move collapsed, Appiah returned to train with Brescia FC and was called up by Milan's Managing Director, Adriano Galliani.
But the transfer to Milan was called off because he did not have an Italian passport and could not even be registered by Milan as an EU player.
Over the weekend, he was linked to French Club, Olympique Marseille.
According to a report in the respected French Football magazine on Saturday, Marseille have been working on this for several days now.
The Club's Sporting Director, José Anigo and coach Didier Dechamps are said to be leading the chase to sign the midfielder.
Even though the Black Stars captain is yet to confirm the deal, Fenerbahce are watching the development in France with a keen eye.
Appiah has not been in competitive club action for some time as he had been locked up in a battle with Fenerbahce.
Despite his absence on the Club front, he has played several matches for his country since recovering from a knee injury.
He has also been linked with various Clubs in Spain, France, Germany and England, while an American side as well as a Romanian Club are all interested in signing him.
