DOL tickets hottens up

Struggling B.A United triumphed in the local derby in Sunyani against former Premier League campaigners Bofoakwa Tano as the PolyTank division One league gained momentum at the weekend.

 
United are battling with the appeals committee of the Ghana Football Association after 18 points were docked from the accumulated build up for allegedly fielding an unqualified player.

But the managed to scale the hurdle against their city rivals to keep their heads afloat.

Elsewhere in the zone, Techiman Rovers lost 3-0 at home to Aduana Stars while Kintampo United managed a 2-0 success over Bechem United at Kintampo.

Juventus were the heaviest winners of Zone 1A, strolling to a 3-0 victory over Upper Stars at Bolgatanga.

Catholics Stars also negotiated their tie 2-0 against Guan United while Universal Stars recorded a similar score line against Unity FC at Techiman.

Savana Stars and Soccer Warriors shared points in a 1-1 draw.

Elsewhere, Gold Stars accounted for Norchip 2-1 while New Edubiase were 3-0 winners over Cornerstone in zone 2A.

Samartex and Kaseman shared the spoils in a goalless draw. Zone 2B saw only one match come off after most of it were rained –off.

Metro Stars and Starke FC produced a four goal thriller in a pulsating 2-2 draw.

Coconut Grove and Dwarfs play today while Feyernord meet Tarkwa United at Gomoa Fetteh.

There are intriguing ties in zone 3A:
Seven United failed to produce the magic at home and were held to a 1-1 draw by leaders Real Sportive at Dawu.

Fair Point also failed to make home advantage count after drawing 1-1 with Pure Joy at Tema.

Mighty Jets lost 1-2 at Amasaman to Abedi Pele's Nania FC.

Great Olympics beat Maxbees 2-1 at the El-Wak stadium in zone 3B.

Bright Future came close to safety after a 3-0 away win over Royal Knights in Koforidua.

Zaytuna take on All Stars at Amanfrom while Desert Warriors battle Power FC at Adenta.
