Muntari ready to fight back

MUNTARI SLAMS RUMOURS Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari has reiterated his international commitment and prepared to fight for a place in the team after missing out on two world cup qualifiers this month.

The Inter Milan ace was severely criticized for sitting out of those matches although he explained injured.

But the 24-year-old has denied rumours that he deliberately withdrew from the qualifiers as a move to sabotage Ghana qualifying campaign.

"I don't know but some people were trying to bring me down or whatever they want but that is not a problem, this is my job so that is how it is. Sometimes I get criticized and I have to accept it in the right way not in the bad way," Muntari said in an interview.

"I think it is all passed so let's move forward and look ahead to the future."

Following the Black Stars impressive outing against Mali and Sudan, there is widely held perception that Muntari has lost his place to Kwadwo Asamoah.

The midfielder has stated in desire to return and compete for a place in Milovan Rajevac's team when the qualifiers resumes in September.

"Me I don't work my way, If am called I will come and play that is the thing. Me I love to play for the Black Stars and it's Ghana which made me who I am today.

He added that:"It was just rumours. People saying things that weren't true but as I said, I'm back and recovered and if I'm called I will come and help my country."
