Abrankese, June 29, GNA – Visiting Swedru Gamba All Blacks on Monday
held Kessben FC to a two all drawn game in their 26th Week outstanding
Premier League match played at the Anane Boateng Stadium, Abrankese.
The match, which was scheduled for Sunday but was called off as a result of
a heavy downpour saw Kessben taking the lead in the 8th minute through Anum
Lanquaye when he rose above his markers to nod home.
Through a swift reorganization in midfield, All Blacks succeeded in fetching
the equalizer in the 22nd minute through Obed Owusu who sneaked through an
offside to put his side on a level term.
Owusu was on target to increase his side's goal tally in the 89th minute when
he unleashed a shot that beat goalie George Kudjoe to silence the home fans.
However, as the visitors were anticipating to carry the day, Kessben were
awarded a penalty in the 90th minute when Bismark Idan was penalised for what
the referee was handling of the ball in the box a ball for which Yugah converted
with perfection to save the home team from defeat.
