Rex Danquah As part of Ghana's right to host and organize the 2009 edition of the African Hockey Cup of Nations Championship, a 15-member Local Organizing Committee (LOC), lead by Rex Danquah, will be inaugurated tomorrow to oversee organizational strategies, marketing and public relations of the event.
A number of sub-committees have also been formed to facilitate the work of the LOC towards the attainment of the goal. They include Accommodation and Transportation; Protocol, Arrivals, Departures and Ceremonies; Medical and Doping; Technical and Fields; Marketing and Media Relations and Team Relations and Matches Coordination.
Some sports journalists such as Daniel Kenu of the Daily Graphic, Veronica Commey of the GNA, and Charles Osei Assibey of Happy FM are members of some sub-committees.
Meanwhile, the 15-member LOC would today pay a working visit to the 1,500 all seated National Hockey Stadium being constructed by Micheletti at Accra Central, near Tema Station. By Charles Nixon Yeboah
