The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the forthcoming Africa Hockey Federation (AfHF) Cup of Nations Championship, will pay a working visit to the new national hockey stadium in Accra on Thursday, April 2, 2009.
The visit, the first by the Committee since its inauguration is to acquaint the 15-member body with the progress of construction at the on-going 1,500 all-seater state-of-the-art facility.
A statement signed by Magnus Rex Danquah, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the LOC copied to GNA Sports said the facility, a requirement of the International Hockey Federation (HIF) and AfHF is expected to be completed before the July deadline.
The LOC has been charged with the overall responsibility of implementing prudent public relations, marketing and organizational strategies fundamental for a successful hosting of the tournament.
