Azumah back in the ring?
Boxing ace, Professor Azumah Nelson last Saturday evening mounted the ring not to do 'serious business' but to thrill the many boxing lovers who had gathered at the inauguration of The Bridge Foundation boxing gym in Accra.
His antics drew applause and jeers from the spectators, including the Deputy Minister for Sports, Nii Nortey Duah. And after thrilling the spectators, Azumah ceased the opportunity to make a case for the less privilege in society.
“I will beg of you to use your good office to construct more sports facilities to provide skill for the poor”.
“It is said that sports is for the poor, which I believe to some extent, I am appealing on their behalf and I am confident that when the request is granted, Ghana will produce more world champions,” said the professor.
