Referee Bennett to handle Ghana game

Referee Bennett Daniel has been appointed as the match referee for the joint 2010 African Nations Cup and World Cup qualifying match between Ghana and Benin.

The South African referee will be assisted on the lines for the opening Group D game at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday at 17:00GMT by fellow nationals, Rezees Andrew and Ebrahim A. Basit.

Malebo Toko, also from South Africa is the fourth official for the match while the Gambia's Kinteh Seedy is selected as the match commissioner.

Ghana, who play at home are one of the favourites from the group which also includes Sudan and Mali for the sole qualifying ticket to the 2010 World Cup to be hosted by South Africa.
