Quincy has been having difficult times Ghana winger Quincy Owusu-Abeyie will get the chance to stake his claim for a regular place in Cardiff's side when he gets a run out against Merthyr Tydfil.

Quincy, 22, has endured a frustrating spell at Ninian Park following his loan move from Spartak Moscow in January and has made just three substitute appearances after struggling to displace Paul Parry http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/paul-parry.html in the Bluebirds line-up.

With a host of players away on international duty, the Ghanian will hope to play an integral part in Tuesday's game, which has been organised to raise much-needed funds for the cash-strapped Martyrs.

Despite his reluctance to use Quincy in the Cardiff's promotion bid, Jones rates the former Arsenal http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/arsenal/ winger highly.

"Quincy is a quality player. He has pace and a directness which gives him something a little different to the other strikers we have at the club," told the South Wales Echo.

"Any player who moves from Ajax, where he came through their youth system, to Arsenal and then Spartak Moscow, who paid £3m or £2m for him, is a quality player."
