Elmina Coconut Grove Sharks played a highly determined game to hold Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs to a 1-1 draw in their national Division One League match at Robert Mensah Stadium, Cape Coast on Sunday.
Sharks who outclassed Dwarfs for the greater part of the first half had to wait until the 44th minute before midfielder, Isaac Mensah, scored the opener.
Mensah after collecting a midfield pass weaved through a cluster of defenders and sent in a classic shot which zoomed into the far corner of the net to the admiration of the fans.
Undaunted by the lead, Dwarfs threw everything into attack in the second half and got the equalizer in the 51st minute through inside right, Isaac Obeng.
Results of other matches were Westlandies drew 2-2 with Windy Professionals, Feyenoored lost 0-1 to Tarkwa United while Dunkwa-On-Offin Starkes drew goalless with Sekondi Metro Sports.
