Struggling Premiership leaders, Accra Hearts of Oak held on to a solitary lead grabbed by Obed Ansah to keep their hold on the Glo League in their match day 12 duel against a stubborn Sekondi Hassacas at the Ohene Djan Stadium, Accra on Sunday.

Hearts without injured regulars, Charles Taylor, Eric Gawu, Kofi Abanga and Esme Mense looked pitiful and laboured on an afternoon where Hasaacas also proved a weak opposition.

After a lifeless first half, the Phobians resumed the second session with a fraction of urgency in their play and their quest was rewarded six minutes on when advancing teenage striker, Taurik Djibril was challenged in the visitor's box.

Referee Yakubu Lamin Nuhu who fared poorly throughout the game awarded the Phobians a questionable penalty that Ansah scored to extend the Hearts lead on the log to 10 points.

King Faisal worsened the plight of visiting Sporting Mirren with a 2-1 victory when they clashed at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Faisal took the lead in the 46th minute when enterprising Ofosu Micky stretched full length to connect home a cross from Prince Arkoh from the right flank.

Frank Boateng leveled up the scores in the 61st minute for Mirren with a header. Faisal fought hard for the match winner and rightly earned a penalty in the 65th minute when a defender of Mirren handled the ball in a goal mouth melee.

The resultant kick was scored by Ofosu Micky.
Visiting Wa All Stars on Sunday forced Kessben F/C to a 1-1 drawn game at the Anane Boateng Stadium at Abrankese near Kumasi.

Kessben registered their goal in the 17th minute courtesy Richard Mpong who connected home an Edmund Peprah cross in a counter attack.

All Stars brought on Emmanuel Osei for injured Issah Salifu in the 60th minute and 10 minutes later, substitute Osei gave hope to his side when he capitalized on a defensive blunder to slot home the equalizer.

After the equalizer the game from then became very physical resulting in the exit of Gafaru Nasaru of All Stars who was shown the red card for rough play on the stroke of time.
