Lawyer Moses Foh-Amoaning has stated emphatically that boxing is the most successful sporting discipline in the country. At a Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), Ghana Amateur Boxing Authority (GABA) Coaches course in Accra yesterday, the GBA boss described boxing as the most successful sport in the country.
His argument stems from the fact that boxing has clinched more laurels for the country than any other discipline. “Olympics records show that the likes of Ike Quartey Snr. and Eddie Blay Jnr. put Ghana boxing on a high pedestal.”
“Professional boxing has produced seven World Champions and the future looks brighter with the emerging potentials and up coming boxers,” he added.
He thanked Smart Energy Drink Ltd. for their intention for a long lasting marriage with GBA and promised to honour his part of the agreement by giving them the right mileage.
