Rahim Ayew FIVE GHANAIAN players who distinguished themselves during the just-ended Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) in Cote d'Ivoire have been selected into the 'Africa All Star Team' of the maiden tournament.

They include defenders Samuel Inkoom, Harrison Afful and Michael Ofosu Appiah. The rest are offensive midfielders Charles Taylor and Rahim Ayew.

The aforementioned players were selected to be part of the 18-man team of the tournament by CAF officials after playing excellently during the tourney.

Of the five players only Inkoom, Afful and Appiah made the first eleven, whilst Taylor and Rahim are on the bench.

The Technical Study Group selected the tournament's best performers based on 10 areas which included performance during all matches and consistency, attitude towards team mates, opponents and officials.

Leadership, influence, tactical skill and talent, exemplary, enthusiastic and motivator, personality and number of appearances were considered.

Given SINGULUMA ( Zambia ), Trésor Mabi MPUTU (DR Congo)

Substitutes:
Samir ABUD (Libya) GK, Ovidy KARURU (Zimbabwe), Mussa MGOSI (Tanzania), Rahim AYEW (Ghana), Mamadou Baila TRAORE (Senegal), Charles ASAMPONG TAYLOR (Ghana).
