ESSIEN WANTS QUICK RETURN Ghana ace Michael Essien is set to make his first Chelsea senior team appearance in six-months after being named in Guus Hiddink's set-up for Saturday's FA Cup match at Coventry City.

Essien on Monday night played 90 minutes and scored for the reserves in their 4-3 loss at Aston Villa convincing the Dutchman of his battle readiness.

The 26-year-old is likely to start from the bench despite showing no discomfort the said match.

Essien will be making a return with Portuguese defender Ricardo Carvalho and Hiddink believes the duo can impact positively on their play.

''They have played their game at Villa Park(for the reserves), 60 minutes for Carvalho, a full game for Essien so they will be in squad travelling this afternoon," Hiddink told the club's website.

"I am happy to have two players back with international experience. We have this difficult game in Coventry and we can go into the semi-final of the FA Cup and we will be highly rewarded. Then after tomorrow, the next step is very important, the Juve game. But there are no priorities.''

The midfielder needs three or four matches to regain the required match fitness for Ghana's second phase 2010 World Cup opener against Benin on 28 March.
