DR Congo set-up another meeting with Ghana at the African Nations Championship but this time the two sides will play for the trophy in the finals.

The Leopards joined the Black Stars in the first ever final of the Championship designed for locally-based footballers after a 2-1 victory over Zambia in their semi-final clash on Wednesday at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.

"We are in the final, but our dream can't be complete without the ultimate," said Muntubile Santos, coach of the Leopards.

Both sides will line up at the same venue for Sunday's final after having played in the group stages.

Ghana beat DR Congo 3-0 in the final group game to reach the semi-finals before edging out Senegal 7-6 on penalties after regulation time ended 1-1 to secure a place in the finals.

For Zambian coach Renard Herve, he has been denied a chance for a reunion with Ghana.

The Frenchman, a former Black Stars assistant coach will now set his sights on battling for third place when his side take on Senegal.
