Elmina Coconut Grove Sharks made a bright start in the Central Region First Division League on Sunday when they spanked West Landes 3-0 in their league match at the Robert Mensah stadium, Cape Coast.
Sharks began the game strongly but after a goalless first half they managed to open the scoring in the 51st minute just after resumption of the second half through midfielder Sampson Abraham.
The hope of Landes drawing level was shattered when Grove Sharks scored two more rapid goals through George Arthur and Ebenezer Coleman in the 62nd and 64th minute to seal their doom.
Results of other matches were Ebusua Dwarfs drew 0-0 with Dunkwa-On-Offin Starkeds while Sekondi Metro Sports pipped Feyenoored 1-0.
