Prince Kofi Amoabeng The Tafo Golf Club opens its 2009 activities with a big bang, hosting its annual President Putter competition on Saturday and topping it with a birthday bash of its president, Prince Amoabeng on Sunday.
Prince Kofi Amoabeng, the Executive Director of UT Financial Services, the number one non-bank financial institution, is incidentally the president of the Tafo Golf Club.
Tafo Gold Club sited in the excellent unique, serene catchment of the cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG) offers a great challenge to many excellent golfers with its natural and man-made hazards of hills, bunkers, rivers and others.
This weekend's event promises to be exciting as it will attract all friends of the Tafo Club from Achimota, Tema, Celebrity, Bok-Nam Kim and of course the ever growing loyal customers of UT Financial Services.
Dr K.K. Oppong, the indefatigable captain of the club, and Dr. K. Osei Bonsu, treasure, the two key members of the committee in charge of organizing the event, have assured golfers of a guaranteed and most friendly playable course, saying the greens are at their best with the beautiful vegetation and tree coverings.
Club captain Dr. Oppong will lead the host team.
