The maiden Coca-Cola Medal Open Golf Championship tees off at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, February 21.
Mr Kwabena Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Achimota Golf Club who disclosed this to the GNA Sports in Accra on Wednesday, said the one-day 18-Hole Stable-ford competition which is open to amateur golfers from Achimota, Tema, Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim Golf Clubs would be sponsored by Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited.
He said the event, which would be played in accordance with the local rules of the Achimota Golf Club has Handicap 18 and 24 as the entry requirements.
Mr Oteng-Aboagye appealed to all golfers to be punctual for the early tee-off of the competition which has so far attracted about 100 participants.
He disclosed that Coca-Cola would also sponsor the Club's Medal competitions from February to the end of December this year.
