Mr Christian K. Yeboah, Chairman of the Ashanti Regional Football Association, is dead, officials of the National Sports Council (NSC) have confirmed.
He passed away in the early hours of Friday, January 30, 2009 after a short illness.
When the Ghana News Agency (GNA) visited the offices of the NSC in Kumasi, most of the officials had left for the deceased's home to express their sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family.
An official of the NSC said the late Mr Yeboah died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) where he had been receiving treatment since December last year.
He left behind a wife and four children.
