Bannerman Stars defeated T.T. Laryea Stars 1-0 to win this year’s Teshie Aboma Presbyterian Church of Ghana Men’s Fellowship Games held at Teshie in Accra on Friday.
The only goal of the match was scored by Samuel Sowah Obenney 10 minutes inside the first half.
In the Tug-of-Peace event, Bannerman Stars again won by 2-0 and went ahead to win the Ludo Game 2-1.
Laryea Stars however made amends when they won the Playing Cards competition 72-70 as well as winning the Draught event 3-0.
Reverend Neils Hesse, Minister-In-Charge of the Teshie Aboma Presbyterian Church said the goal of the games which is held every year was aimed at taking stock of the past year, for members to realize their shortcomings and intensify their efforts towards development and also to create a forum for socializing with one another.
Nii Sethi Kwao, Acting Teshie Mantse called on the people of Teshie to unite and fight for a common goal for the development of the community.
He asked them to refrain from negative tendencies and the spread of falsehood which he noted could hinder development.
