
QUEENS STILL LACK THE FIREPOWER Ghana Black Queens drew 1-1 against defending champions Nigeria in the Africa Women Championship Group B opener on Sunday in Equatorial Guinea.
The Queens took the lead in closing stages of the first half through midfielder Florence Okoe whose pile-driver beat Falcons goalie Precious Dede.
The Super Falcons turned on the pressure switch in the second half had the Queens back-peddling.
The Nigerians got the deserving equalizer with some five minutes left for play.
Ghana will play South Africa next on Wednesday.
