MUNTARI HAS BEEN KEY FOR JOSE Ghana and Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari hopes to leave his injury nightmare behind as he looks to the future.
The 24-year-old returned to action for his Italian club on Saturday as they brushed aside Palermo 2-0 in the Serie A encounter.
Muntari was stretchered off during last month's league clash with Genoa and stayed on the sidelines for two weeks because of the thigh injury.
Even though he was played out of position, the Ghanaian excelled in his the defensive midfield role of marking out Palermo dangerman Liverani.
Muntari hopes Saturday's game will help him prepare for bigger events to come for his country and club.
"I would love to continue to play like this and even improve on it with Inter which will surely trickle down to my performance with the national team," Muntari told Ghanasoccernet.
He will however miss Ghana's international friendly against Tunisia in Accra on Wednesday after being excluded from the squad.
