Ghana international Harrison Afful played his first match for the youth side of Swedish club Helsinborg IF on Tuesday.
Afful played the entire duration in his usual left-back role and helped the side win 2-0 at the Olympia against Manchester City.
The 22-year-old joined the side last Friday and he is keen on landing a deal after his trial session by the close of the week.
"He played left and showed good reflexes. His defensive revealed some shortcomings," Youth coach, Per-Ola Ljung told the club's website.
"But he also showed good ball control and also came first in the weekend, so he was the player who had the least preparation time."
Another Ghanaian youngster, Yaw Frimpong, played as right-back and excelled with his lethal runs on the flanks. Ghanasoccernet
