COACH ABDUL Karim Zito's contract with Sahel FC of Niger has expired and the Ghanaian is set to return home anytime soon. A source who divulged this to DAILY GUIDE SPORTS said Sahel FC is bent on renewing the contract of Zito but the trainer is reluctant.
Poor planning of the Niger league among a host of other challenges which impedes the smooth progress of football in that country, he said, is forcing Zito to return home, stressing that the trainer has made his plans known to coach a local club immediately he arrives in the country.
He could not mention which club Zito would handle locally, but stated that it would be a premiership side.
As a player, Zito was a household name when he played for Kotoko and the senior national team, the Black Stars.
He made a name for himself too when he handled the Porcupine Warriors as head coach.
