Cooreman wants Kotoko job Belgian tactician Maurice Cooreman has arrived in Kumasi to hold talks with Asante Kotoko over coaching the club for next season.

Cooreman, who is the head coach of Nigerian giants Enyimba, was met on arrival in the Garden City by officials Kotoko on Wednesday night.

Kotoko are hoping to sign the Belgian as the head coach even though current boss Bashiru Hayford will stay on as an assistant.

Cooreman, who helped Enyimba to win the African Champions League title, is confident of improving the fortunes of the Porcupine Warriors if he is appointed.

"I want the job that is why I am here and with my experience on the continent I can help Kotoko to achieve that," Cooreman told Ghanasoccernet.

"My contract with Enyimba is not a problem at all because my agreement with them has some get-out clauses which we will activate.

"Kotoko is a very big club in Africa and I hope I can take them to the heights I reached with Enyimba."

Hayford who has been in charge of the side has fallen out with the management of the team over team tactics and was recently reprimanded for abandoning his post.

Cooreman has coached in Nigeria for several years including stints with Lobi Stars and Gabros.
