All is set for this year's Tamaklo Memorial Golf Championship scheduled for the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, November 1.
Mr Kwabenan Oteng Aboagye, General Manager of the Achimota Golf Club told GNA Sports in Accra on Tuesday that about 200 golfers are expected to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Medal play event which is being organised in memory of Dr Kwame Nyaho Tamaklo, a senior member of the Club who passed away in 2001.
He said the event, which is in its seventh year, would be played in accordance with the rules of the Ghana Golf Association,
Mr Oteng Aboagye said the competition to be sponsored by Nyaho Medical Centre, has Handicap 18 and 24 respectively as the entry requirements.
The Professionals would battle each other in a two-day Scratch event, beginning Friday, October 30.
Reverend (Mrs) Anna Brentuo, Administrative Manager of Nyaho Medical Centre, described the late Tamaklo as an ardent golfer whose contributions made the Achimota Golf Club what it is today.
Mrs Janet Tamaklo, Managing Director of Nyaho Medical Centre, would be the Special Guest of Honour.
