Joseph Essel Ferguson from the Greater Accra region was last Sunday evicted from the on-going MTN Soccer Academy Reality Show.
Ferguson was the seventh teammate to leave the house after the eviction of Philips Amoako, Augustine Frimpong, Benjamin Owusu, Akwasi Agyapong, Enoch Ayine and David Abeka Tawiah.
The evictee was presented with a magnificent trophy donated by Optimum Media Prime (OMP), for participating in the on-going 2nd edition of the MTN Soccer Academy TV Reality Show.
Before the eviction show last Sunday there was a 4-aside football match as usual and the MTN Soccer Academy team walloped their counterparts from Accra Polytechnic by 4-2.
Last Tuesday, the teammates managed a 4-all draw game against Ghana's Old Stars team made up of Mohammed Polo, Philip Tagoe and Samson Lamptey among others in an exciting 5-aside football encounter watched by a handful of people, while last Saturday, the teammates lost by 6-1 to the National Under-17 team, the Black Starlets at the Prampram Soccer of Excellence at Ningo.
According to Ebenezer Lamptey, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of this year's MTN Soccer Academy Reality Show, Samuel Abeka, teammate number 14 from the Ashanti Region was named the Most Valuable Player of the night and again voted the skipper of the week.
During last Sunday's show, Lucky Mensah of “Old Schoolboy” fame and the 'Klala' Group entertained the fully packed house with good musical performances.
The inspirational Black Stars skipper, Stephen 'Tornado' Appiah paid a brief visit to the MTN Soccer Academy House to interact and inspire the teammates during the week.
According to Appiah, the Reality Show is undeniably one of the biggest opportunities offered to young Ghanaian soccer talents to rise to stardom.
