A seemingly less daunting assignment confronts Reformers, the ladies hockey team of Prisons, when they face less fancied Blue Eagles of Kenya this morning, at the Abuja national hockey pitch.

Bouyed by their 1-0 defeat to the defending champions Heartland, last Saturday, the Ghanaians appear confident to record victory against a side that is yet to win a game in the competition.

That notwithstanding, the captain of Reformers, Addo Amponsah Assuming has urged her mates to leave nothing to chance to enhance their chances of reaching the medal zone. Midfield ace, Georgina Sam, who scored from the spot in their last game has what it takes make the work less arduous for strikers like Hagar Laryea, Deborah Agyeman and Abigail Adalatey.

In other games, Ghana's CEPS ladies take on Bayelsa Queens of Nigeria in today's first game, while Heartland facing Egypt's Sharkiah.

Police will take on Nigeria's Delta Force in the afternoon, with Exchequers clashing with Yobe Desert of Nigeria.

Golden Sticks will seek to replicate their 5-0 thrashing of Yobe, when they face Sharkiah in the last game of the day.

In another development, the floodlights of the Abuja national hockey pitch went off midway during the Exchequers vrs Police of Egypt match. The lights were later restored but Exchequers lost the game by 1-2.
