Nominations have been announced for the past Premier league season's outstanding performers.

The awards to be held in Accra on October 24 will recognise the outstanding contributions of all in the past season.

The likes of Eric Bekoe, Dominic Adiyah, Samuel Inkoom, Fatau Dauda, Tawrick Djibril and Bashir Hayford, coach of the Kotoko have all been selected in a number of categories such as best player, best defender, discovery of the season and top scorer.

Kotoko striker, Eric Bekoe is in the running for the league's Most Valuable Player from last season alongside Dominic Adiyah and Harrison Afful.

One of those three players will pick up the top award at the Premier League Awards Night and drive away a VW Souran car for their efforts during the season.

The award will be determined by votes of the coaches of the 16 clubs that played in last season's league and SMS votes from the public.

Bekoe's 17 goals helped Kotoko establish a strong lead in the Premiership while helping him break into the senior national team the Black Stars.

Despite missing seven games in the month of June while on national assignment with the Black Stars, Bekoe still the won the goal king crown with four goals more than second placed Dominic Adiyah who scored 13 goals.

Harrison Afful had a remarkable season during which he earned a place in the starting team of the Black Stars.

For the coach of the year category, Bashir Hayford, who guided Kotoko to the title, is nominated alongside Oti Akenteng, who took Heart of Lions to the best ever league finish of 2nd.

The third nominee is the Lebanese trainer, Fadi Omari whose side, Zaytuna United were relegated at the end of the season.

Best Player: Eric Bekoe (Asante Kotoko) Dominic Adiyah (Heart of Lions) and Harrison Afful (Asante Kotoko)

Best Defender: Samuel Inkoom (Asante Kotoko), Harrison Afful (Asante Kotoko) and John Boye (Heart of Lions)

Best Goalkeeper: Soulama Abdoulaye (Asante Kotoko), Fatau Dauda (AshantiGold) and Tetteh Luggard( Zaytuna United)

Discovery of the Year: Latif Salifu, (Liberty Professionals) Kofi Abanga, (Hearts of Oak) Tawrick Djibril (Hearts of Oak)

Coach of the Year: Fadi Omari, (Zaytuna United), Oti Akenteng (Heart of Lions) and Bashir Hayford (Asante Kotoko)
