Papa Owusu-Ankomah, Member of Parliament for Sekondi has assured Eleven Wise of his unflinching support to ensure their survival in the elite Premier League division.
Wise qualified to the elite division after a 10-year sojourn on Wednesday after they beat Samartex 2-0 in their Zone Two Middle League clash, and Papa Ankomah says the team is back to stay.
“The era of Wise being relegated after a year in the premiership is over. I will do all within my reach to sustain the team in the premiership,” the MP told GNA Sports after the game at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra.
Papa Ankomah who doubles as Minister of Trade, Industry and President's Special Initiative hailed the return of Wise to the elite division as a positive sign to the people of Sekondi and advised all to support the team achieve desirable heights in the not too distant future.
He congratulated the technical team and players for their high level of dedication towards the course and urged them to do more to survive in the premiership.
“I feel proud to have two Clubs in my constituency in the Premier League and so lets all support them.”
Papa Ankomah promised the team a cash prize of 2000 Ghana Cedis for the feat.
