Dickson stars for Charlton

Dickson scored twice on Monday Ghana striker Chris Dickson gave Charlton boss Alan Pardew a nudge with two goals for the reserves on Monday. 

The 23-year-old, who has yet to start a first-team game this season, bagged a brace as the Addicks second string ran out comfortable 3-0 winners over Watford.

Midfielder Jonjo Shelvey, who has recently lost his place in Pardew's starting line-up, set up both Dickson's goals and grabbed the third himself.

Striker Izale McLeod had been pencilled in to make his return after eight months on the sidelines with knee ligament damage, but the match came just too soon.
