Mensah, Kim win Ghana-Korea Golf

G. Mensah Wisbon returned a remarkable score of 48 net to reign supreme in the maiden Ghana-Korea golf tourney held at the Tema Country Golf Club (TCGC), last Saturday.

His efforts earned him a glittering trophy and some Sanyo products provided by the sponsors of the competition, TCGC. Lee T.Y. finished second returning 47n net with Kronzu K and Ahn J.M. followed in that order, with 45 and 44 nets respectively. They also received trophies and Sanyo products.

Kyong Wha Kim K.H. stood tall in the ladies category with 44 net, while the Grace Afriyie and Grace Amoah placed second and third with 42 and 39 nets respectively.

The Vice President of the Club, Nana Antwi-Boasiako noted that the event was aimed at rekindling the already existing friendly relationship between Ghana and Korea.

He noted, “I hope the competition will be annualized to enhance the existing cordial relationship between the two countries.”

Mr H. K. Jeon, Consulate of the Korean Embassy praised the participants for the show of sportsmanship and promised his outfit's continued support to develop the sport in the country
