Black Stars squad against Lesotho named

South Africa based defender, Jonathan Quartey,has been left out of the pack due to an injury he sustained playing for Kaizer Chiefs.

According to the FA official website, the 20-year-old defender,sprained his ankle in Premier Soccer League match over the weekend.

Quartey earned rave review in the press after his impressive performance on his debut last month against Libya in a 1-0.

Also excluded from the list, is beleaguered Asante Kotoko striker,Kwadwo Poku,who is on disciplinary warpath with his club officials.

Poku has been charged with gross indiscipline and insubordination after Kotoko Confederation Cup away tie to JS Kabylie of Algeria.

The Stars need a win over the Crocodiles to top the qualifying Group Five on 4 October.
