John Van Aalst and Aileen Conteh became the proud winners of this month’s Celebrity Golf Club Medal Open Championship played at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono, near Tema on Sunday.
Aalst played 41 Back and 39 Front with a Handicap of 12 to beat George Amoah on count-back to win the Men’s category.
The only prize in the Ladies category was won by Aileen Conteh who played 48 Back and 48 Front with a Handicap of 28.
The one-day 18-Hole Medal Play event, which was opened to amateur golfers from the Greater Accra Region, attracted 50 participants.
It was sponsored by the Celebrity Golf Club.
Mr Ato Enndman, General Manager of the Celebrity Golf Club presented the trophies to the winners.
He urged the members to take active interest in the activities of the Club.
