Ayoola Ladies F.C. of Mampong-Akwapim confirmed their superiority over rival side Just Do It Ladies of Koforidua by a lone goal.

The only goal was scored through a free kick in the 15th minute by Hannah Boampong.

The match was a return encounter played over the weekend and it was a qualifier to this year's women's premier league.

The first leg ended 3-2 in favour of Ayoola Ladies at the Koforidua Sports Stadium.

Expectations of the two teams was very high before commencement of the match but Just Do It Ladies were all-too determined to pay their opponents back in their own coin. Unfortunately, the visitors squandered a hatful of scoring chances to the chagrin of their followers.

Head coach of Just Do It Ladies, J.B Torto, was, however, impressed by the performance of his team, saying "they keep improving match after match despite the loss."

Coach Torto also attributed the result to the heavy downpour after the game, asserting that "it really affected our performance because of the slippery nature of the field.".

The coach promised to lift up their game in their next two matches to brighten their chances of qualification.
