Nana Ato Arthur, Central Regional Minister on Wednesday urged African Journalists to ensure a fair and balanced image of the Continent in their reportage.
He said they had a major responsibility to contribute more positively to the socio-economic development of Africa especially in this age of Information Communication and Technology (ICT).

They included journalists from Nigeria, Tanzania, Namibia, Uganda, Ghana, Algeria and Burkina Faso.
He noted that with Ghana hosting the event, it confirmed her recognition and respect for press freedom and good governance.
Mr Joel Kibazo, one of the judges for the awards, said they were instituted to improve journalism in Africa and the “Voice of Africa” to be heard.
He appealed to other African leaders to learn from Ghana's success in socio-economic development, press freedom and good governance.
