Colts Clubs to receive sponsorship package next year

Accra, June 19, GNA — Colts Clubs across the country would as from next year benefit from a special sponsorship package from Trashy Bags Limited, a plastic waste recycling
company.
The package which comes in the form of specially-designed tee-shirts would afford the players the opportunity to be the ambassadors of preaching the message to help in the elimination of malaria through sports.
Mr Kwabena Osei Bonsu, Chief Executive of the company told GNA Sports in Accra on Thursday that the company had also engaged the mothers of two Black Stars players, Hajia Kande, mother of Sule Ali Muntari and Madam Janet Offei, mother of Eric Bekoe to help in the campaign adding that the mothers of Michael Essien and John Mensah, both members of Black Stars would be honoured to join the campaign soon.
He said the company would organize a fund raising football competition involving African celebrated footballers' to raise funds to enable the company carry out some of its projects.
Mr Osei Bonsu said the company would soon distribute leaflets at some local and international matches on the malaria disease and measures as to how to keep the surroundings clean.
He said letters would also be sent to the Professional League Board and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to allow the display of banners at various stadia as a way of preaching the message of malaria prevention through sports.
The Chief Executive said the case of malaria should be of a global concern and that all hands should be on deck to help fight it.
Mr Osei Bonsu expressed the hope that when all join the fight, the country would be free from the disease by the year 2015.
