THE clash between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and the Dolphins of Nigeria in the second leg Confederation Cup tie at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi yesterday, was rained off.
The Porcupine Warriors were beaten 2-0 by the visitors in the first leg of the competition a fortnight ago in Nigeria.
But before the Angolan referee, Jose Antonio, whistled for the abrupt end of the match, Kotoko were leading by a lone goal courtesy Jordan Opoku in the 44th minute during a goal-mouth melee.
Kotoko could have cancelled the 2-0 deficit earlier had they showed maturity upfront.
The rains started heavily 15 minutes to the end of the first half and rendered the pitch very soggy.
The match will be played (today).
