IN AN attempt to beef up its squad and improve upon its standing on the league ladder, Kumasi-based King Faisal has successfully signed on two former Kumasi Asante Kotoko stars.

Kojo Poku and Cameroonian international, Sanji Imbolla have pitched camp with King Faisal after being granted the floating status by the Ghana football Association (GFA).

Samuel Otoo, Communications Director of the club, who divulged this to DAILY GUIDE SPORTS in an exclusive interview, could not readily disclose the amount involved in the players' contracts, but stated that King Faisal have a one-year contract each with the two players.

He hinted that the club has as well successfully registered Evans Frimpong and Gilbert Ayikede on a three-year contract each from RTU, adding that Karim Saddam, a young talented player of KFC in Kumasi who just returned from trials abroad, has also pitched camp with King Faisal on a two-year contract.

On why the club poached only attacking players, Otoo said King Faisal do not have problems with defence and midfield, noting that the attacking machinery was the bane of the side in the first round.

He expressed the hope that with the inclusion of these quality players, the club would improve upon its current sixth position on the league table and qualify for Africa next year.
