SOCCER FANS who thought Kotoko's 2-0 trashing of Tema Youth would shut the mouth of Coach Isaac Boateng have to revise their notes because the outspoken coach is still talking.
This time Coach Boateng aka 'Opeele' has accused FIFA Referee Alex Quartey and his linesmen for the Kotoko-Tema Youth match of causing his side's defeat to the Porcupine Warriors.
Opeele has therefore called on the Referee's Appointment Committee to ban Referee Quartey and his assistants with immediate effect.
“Kotoko were helped by Referee Quartey and his assistants to win the game; the three men are a disgrace to referees in the country.
“The ball crossed the line before it was crossed to Eric Bekeo to head home for Kotoko's second goal but the referee and his assistants allowed it.
“But for their lackadaisical performance on the day there was no way Kotoko could have won the game so they should be banned to serve as a deterrent to others,” he screamed.
It would be recalled that Coach Opeele before the match bragged that he would hand Kotoko a painful defeat before their home fans in Kumasi.
He again boasted of possessing the technical competence to map out an effective strategy to prevent Kotoko's leading marksman, Eric Bekeo from scoring against his team.
Despite the boasting, a 10-man Kotoko team beat Tema Youth 2-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium last Sunday and Bekoe was one of the scorers.
