Sekondi looks forward to Stars victory over Green Eagles

As the national football team the Black Stars of Ghana prepare to battle the Super Eagles of Nigeria in one of Sunday's quarter-final matches in the CAN 2008 tournament, the general feeling in the Twin City of Sekondi-Takoradi and throughout the Western Region is that of high hopes.
This hope has come about as a result of the Super Eagles of Nigeria lack lustre performance since the tournament began. Most football fans interviewed by our Regional correspondent said the Nigerians have so far failed to live up to expectation and were only saved from being booted out of the tournament by providence.
They said the Black Stars will definitely send the Nigerians out of the tournament. The fans urged the Stars to improve further on their performance against Morocco as the Super Eagles who have been nicknamed super chickens in the tournament because of their poor performance could cause a stir. Despite this, indications on the ground are quite clear. Sekondi-Takoradi is gearing up to explode into celebration with a brass band parade after the Stars' anticipated victory on Sunday.
