Ghana FA boss cautions dropped players

hana Football Association President has made a passionate appeal to the players who failed to make the team's final list to the Africa Cup of Nations to remain calm.

Following reports of some of the players wanting to quit the Black Stars, the Association's boss has asked the players not to feel aggrieved since they will get their chance in subsequent tournaments.
Kwesi Nyantakyi has pointed out that it would be too premature on the part of any player to call time on his international career after failure to make it into Coach Claude Leroy's final 23-man squad.
''They have a chance next time since we are looking at current form now,'' he told ghanasoccernet.
''They are not in the team today but they may be in the team tomorrow so nobody should get angry because nobody has a permanent position in the Black Stars. It is for the best players in Ghana at a particular point in time.''

Nyantakyi was responding to reports that Holland based duo, Matthew Amoah (NAC Breda) and Francis Dickoh (FC Utretch) were considering retiring from the National team after being being selected in the provisional 28-man squad but failing to make the final 23 along with Daniel Opare and Mussa Nary.

Ghana play Guinea in the opening game in Accra on Sunday as they host the 26th edition of the African Cup of Nations.
