Hearts, AshGold submit Caf list

Accra Hearts of Oak have left out Kofi Abanga from their provisional list submitted to the Confederation of African Football for this year's MTN CAF Champions League.

The signing of the midfielder was shrouded in controversy but is yet to make the grades with the Phobians.

Also excluded from the 24-man provisional list are Goalkeeper Saani Mohammed, Dan Quaye, Dan Coleman, Adjah Tetteh and Charles Taylor.

Hearts play FC 105 of Gabon later this year in the preliminary round.

The list includes

Goalkeepers:
Sulemana Abubakari, Laud Quartey and Collins Addo

Defenders:
Kwabena Boafo, Joseph Techie Menson, Micheal Asante, Nana Kofi Egyir, Saliu Muntari, Charles Vardis, Hassan Mohammed, Ebenezer Tettey, Thomas Mensah and Stephen Offei.

Midfielders:
Francis Bossman, George Ampah, Stanley Afedzie, Robert Aryee, Solomon Amoasi and Nuru Yusif.

Attackers:
Samuel Affum, Benjamin Boateng, Reuben Senyo, Eric Gawu and Ernest Okyere.

AshantiGold, Ghana's other representative in this year's Champions League have also submitted a provisional list of 26 players.

Goalkeepers:
Fatau Dauda, James Nanor and Micheal Addo

Defenders:
Stephen Owusu Ansah, Alfred Arthur, Tony Baffoe, Isahaku Zakari, Mohammed Gargo, Oumar Gariba, Owusu Sekyere, Owusu Sefa, Jonathan Mensah and Solomon Addy.

Midfielders:
Lamine Nasir, Alhaji Saani, Prince Antwi, Mubarak Wakasu, James Tagoe, Kwaku Sarpong, Stephen Afful and David Telfer.

Attackers:
Shaibu Yakubu, Sumaila Nyanya, Eric Ofori Amanfo, Alex Asamoah and Nathaniel Quaye.
