Ghana's pre-African Cup of Nations training camp in Abu Dhabi is beginning to take shape with the arrival of several players on Friday night.

The number of Black Stars players in the team swelled to 17 after the arrival of four more players in the camp.

Germany-based Hans Adu Sarpei, defender Francis Dickoh, utility player Eric Addo and wing back Nana Asare all reported to the camp.

They add to the 13 players already in camp that includes Dutch-born striker Quincy Owusu Abeyie and Asante Kotoko?s Harrison Afful who arrived on Thursday.

Owusu-Abeyie joined the twelve players of the Black Stars who left Accra on Wednesday for the training camp.

Stand-in captain, John Mensah leads the team that includes Haminu Dramani, Laryea Kingston, Matthew Amoah, Daniel Opare, Anthony Annan, Asamoah Gyan, Alhassan Illiasu, Baffour Gyan, John Mensah, Kwadwo Asamoah, Fatau Dauda and Ahmed Barrusso.

The Black Stars camp is expected to enjoy a full house after the matches in the various leagues in Europe on Sunday especially in England where Sulley Muntari, Michael Essien, John Painstil and Richard Kingson and Junior Agogo are expected to travel from.

Marseille youngster Andre ?Dede? Ayew was recalled by his French club even though their league is enjoying a break.

But he will be released by Sunday when clubs are required by law to release players ahead of an internationally recognised competition.

The squad trained on Friday morning and evening as more players are expected later on Saturday.

Ghana will name its final team of 23 players for the African Cup of Nations in time for the tournament deadline of 10 January.

Black Stars kicks off the competition on 20 January at the Ohene Djan Stadium with an opening Group A game against Guinea.
