Tema Youth seek home ground change

hanaian Premier League side Tema Youth are considering a change of home venue.

The Tema based side adopted the Cape-Coast Robert Mensah Sports Stadium as their home grounds this season following renovation works at their traditional Tema Sports Stadium.

The club is likely to move to the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra.

Tema Youth have been abysmal this term, chalking just one win at home.

They are second from the bottom with six points from 8 games and will play their 10th week home game against RTU in Accra.

'' The decision is just because of the poor results.You know we are based in Tema and moving to Cape-Coast has denied as the support from our fans.

''When we play at Accra, it is closer to Tema so our fans can come and cheer us,'' William Osei Parma, Secretary to the board of the club disclosed to Ghanasoccernet

In other Premier League related news, Real Tamale United will open the newly built Tamale Sports Stadium this Sunday.

The Pride of the North host Kessben Football Club in a 9th week Onetouch Premier League fixture at the 20,000 seater stadium.

The Professional League Board in consultation with the National Sports Council arrived at the decision in an attempt to test-run facilites at the Tamale Sports Stadium to be used for the Nations Cup which kick-starts on January 20.

Also, Sekondi Hasaacas engage a similar exercise at the new Essipong Stadium on January 13 in a 10th week league fixture against Tema Real Sportive,a week before the start of the Nations Cup.
