Addo's PSV gain top spot in Holland

Eric Addo?s PSV Eindhoven capitalised on Feyenoord's slip-up at Heerenveen on Sunday to claim top spot heading into the Dutch Eredivisie's winter break.

The Ghanaian utility player was in action as a goal at the end of each half from Danny Koevermans and Kenneth Perez earned the Dutch champions a 2-0 win at home to NAC Breda.

This which was enough to move Addo team to the summit after Feyenoord were held to a 1-1 draw at Heerenveen.

FC Utrecht twice came from a goal down to snatch a 2-2 draw at Vitesse Arnhem, Ghanaian defender Francis Dickoh and Loic Loval respectively cancelling out earlier strikes by Harrie Gommans and Mads Junker.

AZ Alkmaar ended a disappointing year on a high with a hard-fought 1-0 home win over Heracles Almelo.

Gretar Rafn Steinsson bagged the only goal of the game 19 minutes from time - seven minutes after the hosts had been reduced to 10 men by the sending-off of substitute Julian Jenner.
